WoT Clans: How to Join, Create a Clan & Clan Benefits
A World of Tanks clan is a permanent team with shared reserves, a Stronghold and access to clan battles. This WoT EU clan guide covers how to join a clan in World of Tanks, how to use a WoT clan finder, how to create a clan, clan benefits, clan ranks and how to leave a clan.
How to join a clan in World of Tanks
You can join a clan in two ways: apply yourself or accept an invitation from a clan officer. Either way, you must not be a member of another clan.
- Use the official WoT clan finder: the Wargaming clan portal (eu.wargaming.net/clans) or the Clans section in the game client
- Filter clans by language, activity and player requirements
- Read the clan description: WN8 requirements, Tier X vehicles, Discord, prime time
- Keep a strong profile — recruiters often invite clanless players with good stats themselves
How to apply to a clan
- Open the clan page on the clan portal or in the client and click Apply
- Add a short note: nickname, WN8, favourite tanks and when you play
- Wait for an officer to review — you'll get a notification
- If a clan invites you, accept the invitation in the game or on the portal
How to create a clan in World of Tanks and what it costs
Clans are created on the Wargaming clan portal. Creating a clan costs gold — usually around 2,500 gold (check the current price on the portal). You must not be in a clan when you create one.
- Choose a tag (up to 5 characters) and a clan name
- Fill in the description, motto, language and prime time — candidates see this
- Upload an emblem and open recruitment
- Appoint officers and start recruiting — for example with WOT Recruiter
Clan benefits in World of Tanks

How to leave or switch clans
You can leave a clan on the clan portal or in the client: open your clan and choose Leave clan. The Commander cannot simply leave — they must first transfer the Commander role or disband the clan.
- Let your officers know before leaving — it keeps your reputation intact
